Hitachi ETG 4000
The ETG-4000 is a near-infrared brain imager for the monitoring of cerebral blood flow. This non-invasive technology exploits the specific absorption of near-infrared light by oxygenated, deoxygenated, and total hemoglobin. With an assortment of probe patches (3x3, 3x5, 4x4, 3x11), we are able to maximize the area of the brain assessed with our 48 optode laser diode system. In addition, we are able to configure our system to image two brains simultaneously to probe and understand tasks involving social attachment, competition, and cooperation.

NIRx NIRSport Tandem
NIRSport is an ultra portable, multi-channel, modular functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) platform which measures hemodynamic neuroactivation via hemoglobin changes in the cerebral cortex. The NIRsport combines lightweight LED sources and active detectors with innovative strain-relief hardware to create a wearable brain imaging solution ready for use in any ‘portable lab’, or naturalistic experiment such as driving or cycling. The NIRSport Tandem (2 synchronized NIRx NIRSport units) comes with 16-source/16-detector (128 data channels) configurations to double the channels/coverage of an original NIRSport unit, along with a diverse array of available headgear and probes to fit any subject and neuroscience application.

The NIRScout is a user-friendly, modular, and robust functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) platform which measures hemodynamic responses to neuroactivation via oxy-, deoxy-, and total hemoglobin changes in the cerebral cortex. The NIRScout platform includes a host of ready-to-implement upgrades and modules to meet the needs of a broad range of cognitive neuroscience applications. CIBSR's NIRScout XP configuration contains 8 Laser/16 LED/ 16 APD and a set of 10m MRI compatible ultra-flat-tipped fibers (8 sources x 8 detectors)for concurrent NIRS & fMRI measurements.

CIBSR Biometrics Kit
The CIBSR Biometrics Kit is an Arduino-based physiological measurement tool with leads for electrocardiography and galvanic skin response, a three-axis accelerometer, and an upcoming pressure-based respiration belt. The kit’s overarching goal is to facilitate open, reproducible research through open-source hardware and software, as well as through transparent access to the underlying raw data streams. Real-time access to these data streams is possible through a Python library, allowing for active monitoring and feedback. Though broadly applicable, the kit was originally developed as a complement to near-infrared spectroscopic brain imaging. In that context, the acceleration data serves as a critical aid in motion artifact correction, while the cardiac, respiration, and galvanic skin response streams describe sympathetic nervous system response.
